Weddings

St Martin's is a beautiful church for weddings, providing a balance between tradition and informality. Our vicar is happy to work with you to craft a service that reflects your personal style and makes your wedding day a very special occasion. We can easily seat up to 150 guests, or even up to 200 with extra seating. Our beautiful pipe organ can provide wonderful music, or alternatively, we have a sound system for pre-recorded music. You are also welcome to bring your own musicians. There is also space to provide afternoon tea for your guests after the service or, for a smaller wedding, a complete meal in the crypt under the church.

Cost: negotiable depending on your requirements, but usually $600.00

Baptisms (Christenings)

Baptism (also known as christening) is an ancient ritual in which we give thanks for the gift of life, and welcome the one being baptised into the Christian faith. In the Anglican tradition people are usually baptised as children, but we are always happy to baptise adults as well. Baptisms are generally conducted during our regular Sunday services at 10am, but other times can be arranged if there is a strong reason to do so.
